NICO DUPORTAL & HIS RHYTHM DUDES
: Dealing With My Blues
The French blues guitarist and singer NICO Duportal presents the fourth and best album via RHYTHM BOMB RECORDS. With the predecessor "Guitar Player" (2015) the sextet around the bandleader, songwriter, lead guitarist and singer NICO Duportal made their real breakthrough. Recognition of genre fans and critics were great. Also with "Real RockinPapa" (2013) and the self-produced debut "Meet Me In The Basement" (2009) and "GoinBack To Ya" (2011) the artist has already left an impressive business card. With "Dealing With My Blues" the band now climbs to a new level and expands her musical horizon.
Although remains the black US music of the 40s and 50s, Blues, Jive, Swing and early rhythm and blues are the cornerstone of the songs, but the band developed their songwriting further, looking into the 60 and explores the transitions from Rhythm 'n'Blues to what would later be called Soul. In addition to the main cast with drums, bass, guitar and two saxophones Nicos pianist OLIVIER CANTRELLE now gives a hot whimpering Hammond for smoky atmosphere in almost all songs.
The new album shows an impressive amount of variation and will raise this artist surely in the first class of this genre
